Design subscriptions compared, 2026

If you’re a founder choosing a design subscription, finding one is easy. The hard part is working out which ones fit a startup that needs brand, web and product work, beyond social graphics. We compared seven services on price, scope, speed and terms.

We run one of them, so we’re biased. To keep it fair, every price below comes from the company’s own site or from published reporting in October 2026, with a link to the source. Prices change often, so check each pricing page before you buy.

The short version

  • Designjoy: $4,995 a month, a limited-time price (listed against $5,995). A senior, founder-run subscription with Webflow builds.
  • Honter Studio: $5,000 or $8,500 a month. Design plus Framer and custom-code builds, for AI and B2B startups.
  • ManyPixels: $699 to $2,599 a month. Budget marketing design, with no UX design, prototypes or code.
  • Kimp: $1,397 to $1,697 a month. Graphics and video for ads and social.
  • Penji: reported at $995 to $4,500 and up. Broad marketing design, with caps on active projects.
  • Design Pickle: no public prices since 2026. It quotes a flat rate on a call, billed quarterly or annually.
  • Superside: reported from $15,000 a month on annual contracts. Enterprise creative teams.

Designjoy

Designjoy is the best-known design subscription, run by its founder, Brett Williams. It lists $4,995 a month, marked as a limited-time discount from $5,995, for one request at a time, with an average 48-hour delivery, Webflow development, and pause or cancel anytime (Designjoy).

Best for: teams with a steady queue of brand and marketing work for one senior designer.

Honter Studio

That’s us. Design Partner is $5,000 a month for one request at a time, with design and website builds included. Design + Build is $8,500 a month for two requests at a time, with product design and builds shipped every week. We build in Framer or custom code, and we also sell fixed-price sprints from $3,500 (our offers).

Best for: AI and B2B startups that need things designed and built.

ManyPixels

ManyPixels has four tiers at $699, $1,199, $1,399 and $2,599 a month on monthly billing, and less on yearly (ManyPixels). Its scope page lists UX design, prototypes, coding and Webflow, WordPress or Framer builds under “We don’t do” (ManyPixels).

Best for: marketing graphics and illustrations on a budget.

Kimp

Kimp lists $1,397 a month for graphics or video, and $1,697 for both, month-to-month (Kimp).

Best for: a steady volume of ad and social creative.

Penji

Penji is reported at $995, $1,995 and $4,500 and up a month, with caps on how many projects run at once (Moonb).

Best for: small businesses and agencies that need a wide range of marketing design.

Design Pickle

Design Pickle moved to a platform fee plus “creative hours” in June 2025, with its Base plan at $1,918 a month on monthly billing (Design Pickle). In 2026 it took prices off its site, and it now quotes a flat rate on a call, billed quarterly or annually (Design Pickle).

Best for: marketing teams with steady volume that can commit to quarterly or annual billing.

Superside

Superside is reported at a $15,000 monthly minimum plus a $1,000 software fee on an annual contract, with a dedicated “AI-native” team from $30,000 a month (Moonb).

Best for: enterprise and mid-market marketing teams with large creative volume.

How to choose

  1. Do you need things built? If you need a website or a product shipped, rule out design-only services first.
  2. How senior is the work? Ask who does it, and ask to see work like yours.
  3. Volume or depth? Budget services handle volume. Senior services handle hard problems.
  4. What are the terms? Month-to-month plans and pause options matter for startup cash flow.
  5. How do they use AI? Ask what AI does and who reviews it before it reaches you.

If you want a second opinion on which fits, book a 20-minute call. If another service fits you better, we’ll say so.
