Privacy

Updated October 27, 2026.

This page says what honterstudio.com collects, why, who helps us run it, and how long we keep it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

The short version

  • No analytics, no ad trackers and no tracking cookies.
  • We never store your IP address. We keep only a scrambled version of it (a keyed hash) to stop spam.
  • We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.

What we collect, and why

  • When you book a call or send a brief: your name, email, company, what you’re building, when it needs to ship, your time zone, and the time you picked. We use it to reply and to plan the call. An email about it goes to our own inbox.
  • When you ask Honter a question: we send your question, and the earlier questions and answers from this visit, to Anthropic so it can write the answer. We don’t save your questions. We log only the size of each request and answer, never the text.
  • When you make a first draft: your startup’s name, what it does and how it should feel. We send these to Anthropic to write the draft, and we keep a copy of your answers and the draft.
  • When you place a pixel on the wall: its position, its color, the time, and a scrambled version of your visit id, so each visit places one pixel. Everyone can see the wall.
  • When live visitor counts are on: each open tab tells us which page it shows, with a random id that lives only in that tab. No name and no IP address. It’s deleted 60 seconds after the tab goes quiet.
  • To stop spam: we count requests per scrambled IP address, and booking requests per email address. We also keep the scrambled IP address with each booking, brief, first draft and pixel.

Cookies and browser storage

These keep the site working. None of them follow you to other sites.

  • honter-human: set after the spam check, so you don’t have to pass it again. It lasts 24 hours.
  • honter-visit: a random id, set when you open the wall, so each visit places one pixel. It ends when you close your browser.
  • honter-theme: your color theme, only if you pick one. It lasts a year.
  • honter-welcome: set only if you turn off the Welcome page. It lasts a year.

Your browser also keeps a few things for the current tab only: your open tabs, whether you placed a pixel, whether the mascot’s speech bubble already showed, and the random id for live visitor counts. They’re cleared when you close the tab.

Who helps us run the site

  • Railway: hosting, the database and file storage, in the United States.
  • Google Calendar and Google Meet: when you book a call, Google sends you the invite and creates the Meet link. The event on our calendar has your name, email, company, what you’re building and when it ships.
  • Anthropic: writes the answers in the terminal and the first drafts, from what you type there.
  • Resend: sends our emails, like the note that confirms we got your brief.
  • Microsoft 365: our email inbox. Your emails to us, and our notes about each booking and brief, are kept there.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: the spam check. It loads only the first time you send something (a brief, a question, a draft or a pixel), and Cloudflare sees your IP address to run the check.
  • Google Fonts: if a first draft uses one of its typefaces, your browser loads that font from Google.

The commit counts on the site come from our own GitHub repositories. They contain nothing about you.

How long we keep it

  • Bookings, briefs, first drafts and wall pixels: until we delete them, or until you ask us to.
  • Emails and calendar events: in our inbox and calendar until we delete them.
  • Spam counts: a day for counts tied to your email address, and a week at most for the rest.
  • Live visitor counts: 60 seconds.
  • Your questions to Honter: we don’t keep them.

Your choices

Email axel@honterstudio.com and we’ll send you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it from our database, our calendar and our inbox. You can also delete this site’s cookies in your browser at any time. The site still works, and you’ll see the spam check again.
